Pace Car is a subscription service for Accounting, KPI, Forecasting and Advisory. We provide the leaders, managers and accountants of independent businesses in wholesale distribution with our vision for influencing results through with financial planning & analysis.
Introducing Two Plans
Pace Car has two subscription plans.
The first is Pace Car with Fathom Campus. Here you have access to a top ten FPA system called Fathom from the UK. We set you up with a login on our Fathom account and guide you through Fathom’s considerable lineup, all encased in the Pace Car service model.
We also offer you Pace Car with Full Force. This includes the Fathom Campus above and adds our power-up called “Full Force”. The power-up is designed for distributors desiring strategic suggestions derived from analytics on their larger data files.
Pace Car offers a high-touch, high value service for small and medium distributors to consider as they look for performance improvement
TOWER
Tower reports are led by "Business Plan" and "Headed Here." They are annualized summations of how your plan works and how you are performing against it going forward. Tower reports guide our advisory and database design.
We use Tower reports constantly to assess status and help produce reports we need.
TREND
For us to maintain a database for you, we are making decisions on the "down" and "across" drivers. Our Tower reports lead the "down" selection. It is our Trend reporting that drives the “across.”
This is months, quarters, years, but also weeks, pay periods and rolling sums. And It is look-back plus look-forward.
SIFT-&-SOLVE
Set the Course with the Pace Car subscription for Financial Planning & Analysis. Our paired services Tower and Trend help you chart the way with planning and analysis that is internally consistent and which equips the business for making strategic moves.
1. To provide you with clear, big picture thinking, we will prepare and keep current the Business Plan and Headed Here reports - our “Tower” reports - using uploads you provide and based on consultation with you. We venture to say that Headed Here will become your best friend for how it helps you with the top-down end of your financial and operating planning.
Steer the Course with the Pace Car subscription pair the services Sift and Solve to identify opportunities to improve income and cash flow and further to lead thmplementation of strategic moves to convert opportunity to gain.
3. For performance improvement traction, we will regularly present you with our “Sift” examination of variance and gap reports - ones we let the system select based on criteria and any that you request. The purpose here is to uncover new or recent off-course performers and their causes. We will keep in inventory of these and their status as immaterial, wait-and see or actively managed.

We offer a high-touch service based on your needs and our vision for effective financial planning & analysis (“FPA”).
Our monthly rhythm is “Exchange Plus Trello.”
1- We receive uploads outlined by agreement
2- We process them in FPA software
3- We distribute “decks” of reports and commentary (content by topic, access by authorization)
4- we communicate during the month on the Trello team communication plan we have set up for you.
User can decide whether to spread Pace Car activity over the entire month or do it in one week - a “Pace Car week.”
We are with you every month, all year. Pace Car becomes more influential with more use exchanges and more Trello communication.
All Pace Car activity is a cycle of Data Upload - Deck Preparation and Distribution - Trello Communications and Advisory
For the monthly exchange(s), Pace Car receives from the User an upload of files as agreed to at the start of the subscription. The number of files uploaded and their content are agreed upon to meet interests of User. As bandwith permits, Pace Car can be modified as time goes on based on User goals. Pace Car and the User add topics to the list that are agreed to be important and available.
Pace Car processes the upload and prepares decks of reports, analysis, schedules and commentary for the user. These are made available either by being sent to the User or being displayed via online service.
In addition, the User is enrolled in Pace Car’s account for team communication, Trello. This becomes the means to document the exchange of data and comments and to bring in guests. Phone discussions also can be part of the communication process.
Activating Fathom requires no additional User preparation beyond the monthly Pace Car upload. Fathom accepts an Excel upload with specifications we have built into Pace Car for you.
So we can feed data to Fathom sourced not only from you but also us - from any analysis we have done for you. Your trial balance and certain schedules appear immediately upon you Fathom login.
